MEANING OF THE PREAMBLE OF INDIAN CONSTITUTION

PREAMBLE means it is like a identity of our Indian Constitution.
if we observe our constitution clearly, we can find that India is not meant for any religions and it is clear Secular country.
our Indian preamble is.....

           THE CONSTITUTION OF
                           INDIA

                     PREAMBLE

WE, THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, having
solemnly resolved to constitute India into a
[SOVEREIGN SOCIALIST SECULAR
DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC] and to secure
to all its citizens :
    JUSTICE, social, economic and
    political;
    LIBERTY of thought, expression, belief,
    faith and worship:
    EQUALITY of status and of opportunity:
    and to promote among them all:
    FRATERNITY assuring the dignity of
    the individual and the [unity and
    integrity of the Nation:
    IN OUR CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY
this twenty-sixth day of November. 1949 do
HEREBY ADOPT, ENACT AND GIVE TO
OURSELVES THIS CONSTITUTION.

in our constitution SOVEREIGN means, India is a sovereign country and it has self authority on it. India is not dependent on any other country or any international organization.

SOCIALIST means, in our country we have indirect democracy, like people can elect legislative or parliament members and members can elect CM or PM respectively.

SECULAR means, in India any one can practice any religion there is no differences according to religious population.

DEMOCRATIC means, members and governance in India is formed by people and ruled by people.
INDIA IS THE LARGEST DEMOCRATIC COUNTRY IN THE WORLD.

REPUBLIC means, in our country election procedure is conducted by independent body ELECTION COMMISSION and through UNIVERSAL ADULT FRANCHISE every citizen who crossed 18 years can place their vote.
